A spring virus/bug/whatever has crept up on me, so I am taking a short interlude to recover. All I can think of is, “my ancestors did not have the cough syrup and pain relievers we have today. ” And that reminds me of my great-grandfather’s second wife who was known for her home remedies and herbal medicine. But that’s a story for another time.
